You've just been given a script - now what? This class will introduce young actors to proper acting craft and technique which will teach them how to break down a script, create character, and make strong acting choices. Using the Stanislavski method, we will breakdown concepts such as actions, intentions, and objectives. We'll explore what information we receive from the script and what choices we make. How do we use words, voice, and body to create a character that isn't us? This is an excellent class for a young actor who has recently discovered their love of acting and is looking for an opportunity to learn about the craft itself.

While this will be an LA-style acting class, time will be taken to make sure all actors understand the concepts discussed and classes will be adjusted as needed in order to do so. Actors will work on scenes in this class and rehearsal outside of class is encouraged but not expected.
Good acting requires truth and vulnerability. This is an inclusive environment, open all individuals who love the art of acting and want to grow as artists. All are welcome and will be respected. Any student who violates this respectful environment will be removed from class.
